Badger Run has been helping the sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife of southern Oregon for 20 years as of 2024! During that time thousands of animals have come into our care. Many have been mended and released back to the wild; a few join our educational ambassador team. We are indebted to our supporters and the small cadre of dedicated volunteers who have made Badger Run a success over the years. Did you know we have only one part-time paid staff member? Everyone else is a volunteer.
We here at Badger Run are also committed to education in hopes that we inspire folks to take care of our environment and the animals we share this earth with. Over these 20 years we have done thousands of educational presentations around the Klamath Basin to this end. If you are interested in scheduling a tour just call us to make an appointment. We are also open the last Saturday of every month from noon to 4pm for “drop-in” tours. Also be sure to check our Facebook page for daily educational posts.
As we continue into the future we are committed to always improving care. We were able to complete our new quarantine facility in December 2023 to deal with patient intakes in the shadow of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak.
