Spring is upon us and with it, many baby birds will be falling from their nests or orphaned. Please resist the temptation to “share raising a baby with the kids”! Baby birds are not easy. They require specific diets based on their species, eat every 15 minutes from sunrise to sunset, and need specialized training once flighted, to learn how to be whatever species they are. Most babies can simply be put back into their nest or put into a “surrogate” nest where mom will feed and care for it until it is ready to fly. Please call us at 541-891-2052 if you find a baby bird!
